Perhaps you’re considering earning an associate degree at Victor Valley College before transferring to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor’s degree. If that sounds like something you might want to do, you’re in luck!

The Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act, signed into law in 2010, enables community colleges to award an associate degree for transfer to students who meet a specified program of courses. Students who complete an Associate Degree for Transfer program and meet the CSU minimum eligibility requirements are guaranteed admission to a CSU.

There are two types of associate degrees for transfer: Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T), and Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T).

VVC offers more than ten AA-T and AS-T degrees from Administration of Justice to Early Childhood Education to Psychology. Check the current College Catalog for a complete list.

• Simultaneously earning an associate degree while preparing to transfer
• Guaranteed admission into the CSU system
• Priority consideration when applying to a particular program similar to your AA-T or AS-T major
