Things You Should Know...

Before Registration

  • Before you begin the registration process, you should reference your student education plan (SEP) or (PEP) and examine the current Class Schedule to determine which classes you would like to take before you begin the registration process.
  • Remember, if you have previously attended another college, you will eventually need to submit your official transcripts to the Admission and Records Office.
  • Bear in mind that some classes have prerequisites, which refer to classes that must be taken or other criteria that must be met before you can enroll in that class. Clearing prerequisites is typically what causes the greatest number of registration issues for students, particularly those who have completed coursework at another college before coming to Victor Valley College.

During Registration

If a class for which you want to register is full, you can request to be placed on a waitlist. This means that all seats in the class are taken, and you will be waiting for a seat to open up. If you are on a "waitlist" for a class section, you may not register for another section of that same class. Permissions to register will be sent to your VVC email address that is accessed through your VVC Portal. If a seat becomes available, you will receive an email stating you have until the end of that day to register for the class. All waitlists are discontinued after the add date.

After Registration

  • Pay your fees on time! If you do not receive the BOG waiver you will be dropped automatically from a class if you do not pay your fees within five (5) days of registering. Once classes begin, fees are due within 24 hours of registration.
  • It is important to show up for the first day of class to avoid being dropped by the instructor.
