The second step in the enrollment process is to apply for financial aid.
Financial aid can help offset the total cost of attending college. While this is an optional step, it is highly recommended that all students apply for financial aid. We recommend that you apply for financial aid every year, even if you think you may not qualify. You are encouraged to apply by March 2nd (NEW: You can now start your FAFSA application as early as October 1st) to take greater advantage of state grant/scholarship deadlines. Many factors affect a student’s eligibility for financial aid, including a change in family financial circumstances. For example, a student who didn't qualify one year might become eligible during the next year when a sibling enrolls in college.
The Financial Aid Office at Victor Valley College helps thousands of students cover college costs each year. Our goal is to help bridge the gap between your own resources and the cost of attending college. We also offer assistance with completing applications and providing information about the requirements of the various financial aid programs.
